I Looooveee this book! I am all for the women in history who made differences and I just wish they would have gotten their dues in life. There’s so many now I need to go grab biography’s for because I need to know more, pirates, warriors, teachers and so many more. I just want to hand this book out to anyone and everyone. A woman struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and I love knowing that now!

These historical figures deserve to have their story told and by someone like Mackenzie Lee, who makes history fun. The writing is hilarious and yes and Twitter-esque...because duh, the author started on Twitter.If you're looking for an entertaining read with beautiful illustrations and the bonus of learning a little something about badass ladies too, this is your book!
This book is amazing!! I learned so much about history and so many specific women I didn't know anything about prior to reading this book. The writing is also Mackenzi Lee's classic funny, intelligent, witty voice. It's easy to read, even if you're not a history scholar, but it contains such great information that I could see it being used in a classroom. Would make a wonderful gift for the badass broad in your life!!!
I liked this book overall, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It's a very casual look at women throughout history. The positives are huge: the book really highlights marginalized women, many of whom I hadn't read about before. The illustrations are great too. I wish that it hadn't been written in such a casual style, though that may not bother another reader; it simply wasn't what I was expecting. This would probably be great read aloud, though not all of the subject matter may be suited for all children of all ages.
Brilliant. I had been a fan of Mackenzi's Friday threads for a while and I could not believe my luck when the book was announced. It is hilarious, heartwarming, and BADASS. I love reading about women that changed history since the information is so hard to find.
Bought for my mom for Christmas and I see her reading it all the time. She's shared some interesting bits from it and I've enjoyed seeing her learn more women's history.When my daughter is older I'd like to see her reading it as well.
My 13 year old will not put this book down! It was a birthday present, and she loves it!!! I'm so happy books like this exist. What an inspiring, beautiful, uplifting, and at times tough book, everything I want my daughter to grow up to be! I can't wait to sneak it away so I can read more of it too.
Love this book! Short excerpts about empowering women from all of history, all over the world. I have been enjoying reading about women I have never heard of before.
